Because it is. I can’t explain it. I mean, I can tell you how Wally Lamb’s characterization is amazing and how I read it when I was younger and felt like it was written about me despite the fact that I am nothing like the main character, but none of that would explain it. It is just the book that changed me I guess. One that made me realize someone out there gets it. Idk
